Did you miss a day?

+ WEEK 1: 7 DAYS TO FIGHT APATHY AND HOPELESSNESS

  • DAY 1: Fight apathy and hopelessness. Create an original post with a message of hope to share on social media.
  • DAY 2: Vulnerability, positivity,and hope are thearmor of change. Share through text/videoon a social media platform about a difficulty youfaced during COVID.
  • DAY 3: Use a Skillshare website (i.e. Youtube) to learn a new ability that you think will be difficult. Make sure to include what you chose and why in your daily journal entry.
  • DAY 4: Leave a kind note of appreciation for your mail carrier or trash/recycling collectors.
  • DAY 5: Share something online that you learned from the Uplift training that you think your peers would find useful.
  • DAY 6: Share 3 coping tips that have personally helped you through COVID.
  • DAY 7: Write three motivational quotes and put them in strategic places in your room to help motivate you everyday.

+ WEEK 2: 7 DAYS TO COMMIT TO THE POWER OF CONNECTION

  • DAY 8: Use Level 2 and 3 listening to have an authentic conversation with a member of your family (family is who you define it as)
  • DAY 9: Choose someone you know to do the Wellness Wheel activity with.
  • DAY 10: Send a positive text message to 3 different people now.
  • DAY 11: Send an email of appreciation to a teacher or adult in your life who deserves more recognition. (Have the expectation that this email will be remembered for the rest of this person’s life.)
  • DAY 12: Do the emergency self-care plan with someone who needs it.
  • DAY 13: Plan a virtual get-together (via Zoom, Houseparty, Facetime, etc.) for you and your friend(s) to connect.
  • DAY 14: Send one of your friends all the strengths that you notice they have.

+ Week 3: 7 Days to Forge Your Community

  • DAY 15: Forge your community. Find a local black business (not a chain) and leave a thoughtful positive review on Yelp, Google, etc.
  • DAY 16: Have a Linkedin account? (If not, create one!) Write a recommendation for a coworker or a connection.
  • DAY 17: Find a cause that you believe in to spread awareness about.
  • DAY 18: Reach out to a peer you don’t normally socialize with and check in to see how they are doing.
  • DAY 19: Share an uplifting quote from someone you admire on your social media.
  • DAY 20: Do a random act of kindness of your choice.
  • DAY 21: Reach out to another Uplifter and see how they are doing.

+ Week 4: Claim Your Path

  • DAY 22: Be kind to yourself. Pick a self-care activity to do for 30+ minutes.
  • DAY 23: Relieve someone else in your household of a chore so they can do self-care.
  • DAY 24: Clean your social media from people who don’t bring you joy.
  • DAY 25: Write down 5 things you are grateful for and challenge a peer to do the same.
  • DAY 26: Revisit your mission statement and set a small goal for yourself. Share it with one other person.
  • DAY 27: Adjust your expectations or mindset about something that has been a challenge for you.
  • DAY 28: Make a list of 5 of your strengths and post it on your wall. (If you get stuck, ask your family and friends.)

+ Week 5: Reflect, Share, Celebrate!

  • DAY 29: Share in the Journal Entry what you have learned about yourself during this 30 Day Challenge.
  • DAY 30: Upload a video of yourself talking about the most powerful results you’ve seen from the Uplift Training and 30 Day Challenge
