YOUTH ERA ROLE CALL: CARBON, MONROE, PIKE (NEPA)
Youth Era staff located in the NEPA area are using innovative solutions to create positive community outcomes. The following programs, models, and services go beyond temporary fixes to create lasting change in communities, systems, and the lives of thousands of young adults. During COVID, all services are virtual with the exception of vital resources and some mental health crisis response!
DROP-IN CENTERS
Our Drop Model enables us to create safe, welcoming, and inclusive spaces where youth can receive peer support, gain leadership skills, meet new people, and achieve their goals. Inspired by the Headspace Model, and enhanced through the integration of Positive Youth Development, YE's drop-in centers impact thousands of youth each year.
VIRTUAL SUPPORT
Our commitment to delivering culturally-relevant, stigma-aware, and youth-centered peer support has always necessitated a far-reaching digital presence. YE staff use digital tools like social media and online gaming to connect with youth all over the world. Virtual support enables us to get youth the life-saving support they need - no matter where they are.
crisis response
Our crisis response team has responded to more instances of school violence than any other youth-serving organization in the world. Our staff are trained to provide trauma-informed and stigma-aware relief for students and community members recovering from acts of school violence, suicide, or other trauma.
wraparound
Youth Era maintains the largest team of Wraparound Youth Partners in the country. Our Wraparound staff support youth across the state of Oregon through the utilization of proven and replicable tools that empower youth and their families to use their voices and achieve positive outcomes within the Wraparound process.
TRAINING
Youth Era trainings, including “Peer Plus” a 40-hour OHA-approved Traditional Health Worker certification training, are specifically tailored to the needs of youth and young adults in the peer workforce. Our training team has more than a decade of experience preparing individuals and agencies for equitable youth participation and the integration of peer roles.
TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
Youth Program Builder is a training and technical assistance program that provides consultation and training for youth-serving groups, organizations, and agencies across the country. Our extensive experience developing, improving, and running youth services makes us an invaluable resource for new and evolving youth service providers.
