Our Drop Centers are membership based. Youth Era fully funds memberships through our fundraising efforts and grants from local and state governments and community partners. Access to memberships will never be denied to a youth seeking our services due to financial restraints. Our membership requirement allows Youth Era to ensure safety in our environments, as well as maintain accurate records of those who have access to our services. Gaining a membership to a Youth Era Drop Center is simple. If you want more information about what might disqualify someone from attaining a membership with us, please check our FAQs.
COME VISIT US & TAKE A TOUR
The very first step to gaining access to the services and programs offered by a Youth Era Drop Center is to visit one of our locations. During the visit, you’ll be given the opportunity to tour our space, learn more about the services we offer and get details about our membership program. COMPLETE A BACKGROUND CHECK
To ensure the safety of the youth we services, all applicants for a Youth Era Drop Center membership must complete a background check. We will verify your identity and ensure that you do not have any charges or convictions which go against our membership policies. You can download our membership application and complete it prior to your visit or fill it out in person.
MEET YOUR PEER SUPPORT SPECIALIST
Once you become a member, you will be assigned to a Youth Era Youth Peer Support Specialist. Our Youth Peer Support Specialists (YPSS) have lived experience in youth-serving systems (Mental Health, Foster Care, Juvenile Justice, etc.) and have been trained to support transition-aged young adults by providing help, advice, guidance, and support from someone who has been where they are.
